Princess Delacey Lytle Vance

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Princess Delacey Lytle Vance, 86, of Rock Hill, S.C., was born to the late Raymond and Etta Lytle in Winston-Salem, N.C., on Oct. 23, 1926. After an extended illness, she went peacefully home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013.

Princess was second born of three children and at an early age moved to Rock Hill with her family. She attended schools in Rock Hill, graduating from Emmett Scott High and Friendship Junior college. She was a devoted and loving wife to the late O’Daniel (Pop) Vance for 38 years and a wonderful mom to their eight children: five boys and three girls.

In 1961, Princess and her family moved to the Crawford Road Community and there established her tax business. Soon she was known as the “Tax Lady” and the rest is history.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Kenneth Vance and Gregory Todd Vance; her brother, Thomas Lytle; and her sister, Nannie Lytle Massey.

She leaves to mourn her passing and celebrate her life, sons, Michael Vance (Marsha) of Vallejo, Calif., Ronald Vance (Annie) and Stephen Vance (Lolita), both of Rock hill; daughters, Danice Vance, Carrietta Stinson (Franklin) and Tami Byers (Frantz), all of Rock Hill; 18 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Mr. Nelson Massey of Rock Hill, Mr. John Vance (Robena) of Augusta, Ga., and Mr. J.
