Rev. Dr. Phil Jones ROCK HILL, S.C. - The Reverend Dr. Phillip C. Jones, 65, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at his home. The funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2016, at Trinity Church of the Nazarene with Dr. Roy Rogers officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. on Sunday, January 10, 2016, at Tennessee Georgia Memorial Park, 724 Hogan Road, Rossville, GA 30741. Born in Shelbyville, Ky., Dr. Jones was a son of the late Walter Lee Jones and the late Norma Harrell Jones. He was a member and minister of Trinity Church of the Nazarene in Rock Hill and was dedicated and fully committed to his church and reaching people about Jesus. He was a loving and compassionate man who put others before himself but he did have a sense of humor and enjoyed having fun. Surviving are his wife, Cynthia Lovell Jones; his daughters, Amy Kemper and her husband, Stephen, Amanda Jones and Audrey Gordon and her husband, Patrick; his sisters, Donna Keisler, Karen Spear and Janlea Lackey; his grandchildren, Steffani and Garrett Gordon, Amber, Emma and Elaina Kemper and his great-grandson, Remington Fitzgerald. He was preceded in death by his brother, Rick Jones. The family will receive friends from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. (prior to service) on Saturday, January 9, 2016, at the church.
