Elizabeth Mae Rippy HambrightYORK - Mrs. Elizabeth Mae Rippy Hambright, 85. of York, S.C., passed away Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013, at her daughter's home in Rock Hill, S.C. Mrs. Hambright was born in Kings Mountain, N.C., and was the daughter of the late Conrad and Eva Ham Rippy. She was a member of Catawba Baptist Church in Rock Hill and retired from Super 10 Stores with 23 years of service. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hambright was preceded in death by her brother, William Rippy; her sisters, Margaret Davis, Mildred Gladden and Peggy Wingo; and her great-grandchildren, Nicholas Benton and Austin Mosley. Services for Mrs. Hambright will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013, at Catawba Baptist Church, 1450 S. Anderson Road, Rock Hill, S.C., with Pastor Ron Richardson officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens, 1774 N. Highway 321, York, S.C. Mrs. Hambright is survived by her husband, David C. Hambright of York; her daughters, Karen Welchel and husband, Gordon of Rock Hill and Sheila Dagnall of Blacksburg; her granddaughters, Melissa Mosley and Robin Benton; and her great-grandchildren, Amber and Ashley Mosley, Kimberly and Brandon Jones and Peyton and Skyler Benton. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013, at Catawba Baptist Church, and other times at the home on her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Gordon Welchel, 2049 Montclair Drive, Rock Hill, S.C.
