Harry O'Neil FudgeEDGEMOOR - Mr. Harry O'Neil Fudge, 89, died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013, at his home. The funeral will be 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013, at Harmony Baptist Church, with the Rev. Woody Oliver officiating. The interment will be in church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013, in the Harmony Room of Harmony Baptist Church. Born Feb. 21, 1924, in Edgemoor, S.C., Mr. Fudge was a son of the late William Frank Fudge and Margaret Orr Fudge. He was a graduate of Edgemoor High School and Kings Business College. Mr. Fudge was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired from Canal Wood Corporation. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church, where he served as Sunday school teacher and deacon. He was a member of NRA, Experimental Aircraft Association, Cattlemen's Association and was a lifelong farmer. One of his passions was flying his own airplane from his own air strip which is still used by JAARS. He is survived by his wife of over 66 years, Jayne Riley Fudge; three sons, Harry O'Neil Fudge Jr. and his wife, Kathy and Dale Riley Fudge, all of Edgemoor and Timothy Orr Fudge of Nashville, Tenn.; one daughter, Pamela Fudge Guinn and her husband, Bryan of Edgemoor; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Fred Fudge and Donnie Fudge, both of Richburg, S.C.; four sisters, Agnes Bost and Sarah Bailey, both of Charlotte, N.C., Jean Loflin of Rock Hill, S.C., and Lucille Riley of Edgemoor. He was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
