CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Mr. James Oscar Sims "Stamey," 69, of 2346 Ashley Road, departed this life Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at the home.
The funeral service for Mr. Sims will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday Jan. 2, at EL Bethel A.M.E Zion Church, Fort Mill, S.C., with Pastor Paulette L. Leak officiating and delivering the eulogy. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at El Bethel A.M.E Zion Church Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Sims; three daughters, Francis Joesita Blue, Emily Outing and Wanda E. McPherson ( Reggie), all of Charlotte.
Mr. Sims was retired from Oaks Liquid Waste Company, Charlotte, and was a faithful member of EL Bethel for many years.
