James William DunnFORT MILL - Mr. James "Jimmy" William Dunn, 62, was set free Saturday, April 26, 2014, and went on to be with the Lord. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2014, at Wolfe Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 12:30 p.m. with the Rev. Dewey Wise officiating. Burial will be at Crown Memorial Park in Pineville, N.C. Born in Middletown, Ohio, Jimmy was a son of the late John Edgar Dunn and Nora B. Calhoun Dunn. He was a graduate of Middletown High School, class of '71 and Springfield-Clark Technical College. He was a Senior Project Engineer Consultant for ENSER Corportion in Charlotte, N.C. and was formerly employed with Valmet, Inc. for 24 years as a Project Design Engineer. Jimmy attended the Pineville Church of the Nazarene. He was a supporter of the NRA. Jimmy enjoyed hunting, piddling in his work shop (his hands were never idle), the outdoors, boating and skiing. He was known as the "Yankee Carpenter." He was a man of true integrity, a man of his word. Surviving are his wife of 40 years who was his high school sweetheart, Sara Ann Johnson Dunn; his son, James Edgar Dunn of Fort Mill; his paternal twin brother, John W. (Alison) Dunn Sr. of Florida; two sisters, Darlene R. (Eddie) Short of Franklin, Ohio and Deborah L. Young of Middletown, Ohio and nieces and nephews, Shannon Froment, Matthew Young, Karen Fillback, Clare Irving, Gemma McCammond and John W. Dunn Jr. He also had many cousins and great-nieces and nephews whom he loved. He was very proud of them and their accomplishments in their lives. Jimmy was much loved by his family and friends.
