Jane DonohueROCK HILL - Jane Margaret Donohue passed away peacefully on Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013. She was born in 1923 in Peoria, Ill., to Jacob and Rose Kelch. She was raised in Peoria with her brother, Howard and her sisters, Jeannie and Rosie. After a brief stint in San Francisco working at a shipyard during the war, she came back home to Peoria. Jane, who grew up in one town, found herself moving over a dozen times in the next 20 years as Ed was transferred to different Montgomery Wards stores. She also managed to have six children during this time. Jane was a strong, resilient woman who enjoyed gardening, animals and children. Jane was predeceased by her parents; her siblings; her husband; and her beloved son, Michael. Left to celebrate her memory are her remaining five children, Susan (Jack) Tovey, Edward (Faye) Donohue, Patricia (Jim) Forbes, Maureen Donohue (Wally Jones) and Nancy (Walter) Benoit; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A Mass to celebrate her life will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, at Saint Mary's Catholic Church, 902 Crawford Rd., Rock Hill, SC 29730. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery.
