Jessie Mae Hope Williams ROCK HILL - Mrs. Jessie Mae Hope Williams, 90, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Piedmont Medical Center. Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, with Reverend Jerry Devinney officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park on South Cherry Road. She was born in Chester on June 27, 1924, to Julius Meek Hope and Jessie Good Hope. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Williams, Sr., and her brothers Elmo Hope, Cecil Hope, and Julius (Shorty) Hope. Jessie Mae was a charter member of Rogers Memorial A. R. P. Church where she taught children's Sunday School for many years. She worked with the development of the church kindergarten program and was very active in the senior citizens Never Grow Old Club. Along with being a loving mother and grandmother, she enjoyed selling Avon products for many years. She is survived by three children, Brenda W. Beckham (Rick), Jimmy Williams, both of Rock Hill, and Barbara W. Hampton (Mark) of Cleveland, TN; five grandchildren, Chris Beckham (Laura), Scott Beckham, both of Columbia, Lori H. Durham (Logan) of Murfreesboro, TN, Rob Hampton (Kelly) of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, and Wes Hampton of Cleveland, TN; two great-grandchildren, Asher and Bennett Durham of Murfreesboro. The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:00 PM.
