Mike Bolling ROCK HILL - Mr. Michael G. Bolling, 69, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2014, at Piedmont Medical Center. The funeral service will be 2 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 24, 2014, at Grace Church of the Nazarene, with the Revs. Jesse Sims and Richard Coleman officiating. Burial will be in Laurelwood Cemetery. Born in Greensboro, N.C., Mr. Bolling was a son of the late Samuel T. Bolling and the late Margaret Freeman Matthews. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of Vietnam. He was retired from Comer Inc. in Charlotte as chief design engineer and was a member of the Professional Engineers Association. He was a member of Grace Church of the Nazarene where he served as treasurer, Sunday school teacher and board member. He also designed and played banjos, carried his private pilot's license and built and flew radio-controlled model airplanes. Mike was known for his quick wit and sense of humor. Surviving are his wife, Linda Ingram Bolling; his sons, Michael G. Bolling Jr. and his fianc e, Gale Willis of Rock Hill and Scott Alan Bolling and his wife, Susan of Fort Lawn; his sisters, Margaret "Maggie" Bush and her husband, Jim of Trenton, Mo., and Susan Crews of Greensboro, N.C.; his brothers, Jim and Rob Bolling, both of Summerfield, N.C., and David Bolling of Oakridge, N.C.; his grandchildren, Jessica and Jon-Scott Bolling, Taylor and Wells Ferguson, Grant and Lauren Willis; and his beloved pet, Lily. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill. Memorials may be made in Mr. Bolling's name to
