Freddie lived close to my growing up home in Richburg. Some Saturdays I would ride my bike over to his house. We were on the golf team together. His mom taught me algebra, one of my favorite teachers and subjects. Those were the days of fond memories.

Mr.Hicklin was one of my favorite teachers when I was in high school and to hear of his death has brought great sadness to our family. I will miss hearing his voice at the LHS football games. He will be greatly missed

Fred was always so friendly to everyone. At every Bruin baseball game he was there to great me and talk about my two boys who were both baseball players. He always said the nicest things about my boys. He also loved his tigers just like I do. He will be missed so much.

Fred and I were childhood friends growing up in Richburg. I would often ride my bicycle over to his house and sometimes his mom (Mrs. Hicklin, my Algebra teacher) would invite me to stay for dinner (supper). As we grew older, golf was our weekend sport. After high school we both attended Clemson where we continued our friendship. Fred (Freddie) was a great guy and I will always have fond memories of him and his family. Our hearts and Prayers are with his family and friends.

The Career Center will not be the same without Fred around to keep things going. He will be greatly missed by all of his Bruin Family here at Lancaster High School.

I came to know Fred this fall while doing a long term sub at the LHS Career Center. I enjoyed talking to him and kidding him about Clemson (I am a Gamecock) He was always so friendly and helpful and a wealth of knowledge on many things. I know he will be missed at the career center and we are all going to miss his quick wit and friendly personality. He was an exceptional person and I am proud to have known him.
