Salvatore Grauso, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on January, 6th, 2013.
Sal was born in Rutland, VT to Nicola and Louisa Grauso on April 13th, 1915. He was raised in Bulls Head, Staten Island with his sisters and brothers. He started working at a very young age, first working at Ahrend Brothers Farm in New Springfield, Staten Island. In his teen years he was a champion fighter in the Golden Gloves of Marris Harbor, S.I., as well as a champion speed skater. He enrolled and worked for several years in the CCC camps under Roosevelt. He then moved to Alexandria, VA where he secured a job on the crew helping to build the new international airport. Sal loved to dance. While at a dance he met his beautiful wife Juanita. They married and raised 4 beautiful children. Sal moved his family to Ft. Lauderdale, and soon after started his business, Sal's Precast. He loved his work. Known to all for his love for life, generosity and kind heart, Sal made a difference in many lives through the years. He is survived by his wife of 75 years, Juanita, his son, Salvatore, his daughters, Anita and Sandra, his sisters Anna, Lucille, Angie and Tina and his numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 from 1:00-2:00PM at Farley Funeral Home in Venice, Florida. A graveside service will follow at Venice Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Tidewell Hospice House in Sarasota www.tidewell.org. To send condolences visit www.farleyfuneralhome.com.

Dearest Dad, you left us only 2 months ago, but we miss you so, you're in my heart & in my prayers,every day and night , God keep you, until. We meet again. I will always Love U. ??
