Norma Jean Mueller, 82, of Sarasota, FL, formerly of Birmingham, Michigan, died on March 31, 2014. Funeral arrangements by: Packer Funeral Home.
Norma moved to Florida with her husband Ron after a career as a Realtor in Birmingham, Michigan eventually settling in Sarasota to be closer to her daughters. She and Ron enjoyed golf, fishing and playing Gin Rummy but her real passion was gardening. It was in Florida that she became interested in growing Orchids and eventually co-founded "Orchids Etcetera" in Sarasota which she operated for several years before selling to her partner. She was an active member of the Sarasota and Venice Orchid Societies and exhibited and won many awards for her orchids.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Helen King of Birmingham, Michigan and Dunedin, Florida, her older brother Frank William "Bill" King, and her husband, Ronald Mueller.
Norma is survived by her four daughters, Linda Susan Fox (Jon), Catherine Rodenburg (John), Julie Agar (Gary), and Mary Allen (Michael), nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Was sorry to read about Norma's passing. I will always think of her when I'm working in the yard. She was quite the character and the fact that she liked my plants was really special to me. I will always remember her.
