Notestein, Marion McClelen  
Notestein, Marion McClelen Nov. 4, 1915 - Jan. 22, 2015 Marion McClelen Notestein, 99, born in Bradenton, Florida to parents Maurice and Mary Harris McClelen. She graduated from Sarasota High School in 1933 and was a graduate of the Union Presbyterian Seminary in Richmond, VA in 1939. In 1942 she married Edison Lowell Notestein (deceased). She is survived by three married sons: James (Emily), Jack (Nancy) and David (Robin), three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Sarasota having served as an Elder, a Deacon, and Director of Christian Education. When she moved to Westminster she continued her volunteer duties and extensive gardening interests. A Service of Remembrance will be held at Westminster Manor 1700 21st Ave. West, Bradenton on Saturday January 31 at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice.

Nauman, Evelyn  
Nauman, Evelyn Wersche Nov. 2, 1922 - Jan. 16, 2015 Evelyn Wersche Nauman, 92 a resident of Sunset Lake Village, Venice, FL passed away peacefully on January 16, 2015 at Harbor Chase. She was a native of Baldwin NY. Following her graduation from Baldwin High School, she did secretarial work in Manhattan. She married Robert and moved to Huntington, NY and became active in Huntington Baptist Church and its choir. After being a stay at home mom and raising her son, she spent time working with special needs children. Retiring to Nokomis in 1976, they made friends biking and swimming at the beach. They were welcomed into the First Baptist Church of Venice, ministering in Sunday School, Choir and Passion Plays. They enjoyed the Venice Senior Friendship Center where they became very proficient dancing both round and square. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband Robert and her son, Richard. She is survived by her cousins, Florence Gallipolli, Donna Sanz of Long Island, NY, Sister-in-law's Marjorie Mahony of Fayetteville, NY, Patricia Nauman of Norwich, NY and many nieces and nephews. A special thanks to her niece, Melissa Rohm of Baltimore, MD who has been Evelyn's guardian angel and caretaker for the past 5 years. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 1:00PM followed by a 2:00PM funeral service at First Baptist Church of Venice. Private interment will be in Sarasota National Cemetery. In memory of Evelyn, contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Venice. Toale Brothers Funeral Homes Ewing Chapel is handling arrangements.

Newberry, Frances Irene Feb. 6, 1921 - Jan. 17, 2015 Frances Irene Newberry, 94, of Venice, FL, formerly of Decatur, Illinois, died on Jan. 17, 2015. Services will be held at 11:00 am on Sat., Jan., 24, 2015 at Venice Memorial Gardens in Venice, FL. Funeral arrangements by: Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel.
