Ann Frantz , 101 years old, of Sarasota FL, passed away December 15, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband Woodrow "Woody" Frantz, and her sister and brother-in-law Bert and Ki Kaiser of Venice, FL. She is survived by her sons, Kenneth (Lynda) Novak of Hendersonville, NC and Allen (Layne) Novak of Hilo, HI, Grandchildren Brian (Amy) Novak of Jacksonville, FL and Kimberly (Marty) Fiascone of Chicago, IL, and great grandchildren Allyson and Aaron Novak and Leo and Gabriel Fiascone.
Ann was born February 26, 1912, to Albert and Marie Pasecky and was raised in Berwyn, IL. She graduated in 1929 from Morton High School. Ann raised her family in Brookfield, IL. She was employed at Mac Neal Memorial Hospital, Berwyn, IL, and Riveredge Hospital, North Riverside, IL. In 1976, she retired to Sarasota taking residence at Lake Tippecanoe. She moved to Sunnyside Village in 2003 where she lived until her passing. She remained active in her retirement working at Sarasota Memorial Hospital into her mid 80's before retiring for the second time. She enjoyed sports; golf, tennis and bowling. Her favorite pastimes were dancing and bridge. She was a regular member of the Bayfront Community Center Ballroom Dancing group.
There will be an inurnment service on March 15, 2014 at 11:00 AM in Venice Memorial Gardens where Ann will be laid to rest next to her sister and brother-in-Law. The family will receive friends after the service.
