Anthony "Tony" L. Brown, 47, of Sarasota peacefully passed away surrounded by his family on Tuesday, November 13, 2012. Born in Jamaica, NY, he relocated here in 1984 from Brighton, MI. He earned a degree in Respiratory Therapy and was also a licensed ham radio operator under the ARRL call letters KF4LQI. A true music historian, he volunteered at Tampa radio station WMNF where he attained the moniker "Detroit Tony". Tony enjoyed fishing, hunting, wood turning and motorcycle travel with the Christian and BMW Motorcyclists. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Fay and Ron Rhodes and his sister, Theresa Brown. Services will be private.
