It's amazing how so many people feel like Bernice was like a "second mom" to them. My siblings and I feel the same way. Can there be a nicer compliment as there is nothing as pure and strong as a mother's love. Thank you Bernice for being a a second mom to my siblings and I as we grew up along side you on Sherman Avenue. We are eternally grateful. They say good things come in small packages. Bernice proves this to be true.

I was so sorry to hear about the passing of Bernice. She and the Mulligan family are a big part of the wonderful memories I have growing up on Sherman Ave. I remember Halloween when the grown ups dressed in costume and went trick or treating; I have pictures to prove it! I'm sure Bernnice was behind that. She was witty and had a great sense of humor;she will be truly missed. I regret I can not make it to the services as I am away; I will be thinking of you all.
