Charles Daniel Armstrong of Bradenton passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones at his home. His passion for his family, scuba diving, fishing, and boating was unparalleled. He loved to entertain his family and friends, was always optimistic, happy, fun-loving and full of life. He served in the US Navy in the 1960s. He will be missed sorely by all. He is survived by his wife Laura Armstrong and sister Shirley Warren, daughters Jill Armstrong (Daniel Ahrens) of Iowa City, Wendy Armstrong (Michael Penney) of Nokomis, stepdaughter Michelle Armstrong, grandchildren Alana & Alex Armstrong-Penney, step-grandchildren Andrew & Lindy Ahrens, and Danton. Sister Linda Woodard, mother Dorothy Armstrong and father Charles Armstrong preceded him in death. Celebration of life shall be open to friends and family held at Jigg's Landing pavilion (6106 63rd St. E Bradenton, Florida), Saturday August 31st from 6:30-8:30 pm. Alan Moore Funeral Home in Ellenton is in charge of the arrangements.
