Daniel E. Lemonde, 67, of Venice, FL passed away Wednesday February 12, 2014. He was born in Cuba, NY to Camilla (Paulsen) Lemonde and Melville Lemonde. Danny came with his family to Englewood in 1960. He was a graduate of Venice High School and also attended Manatee Jr. College. Danny was a well known and respected professional surveyor and mapper in the area since 1976. Danny will be remembered as a loving husband, father, son and brother. Danny was very proud of the accomplishments of his children.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Becky Lemonde, his mother, Camilla; his daughters, Stephanie Goff of Englewood; Kimberly Lemonde of Jacksonville and Kristin Lemonde of Panama City Beach; brother, Larry Lemonde; sisters, Melanie Taylor and Lynne Miller all of Englewood and their families.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday March 29th at Lemon Bay Park, 570 Bay Park Blvd, Englewood, FL.
In lieu of flowers, any donations made in Daniel Lemonde's name should be mailed to: Friends of Sarasota County Parks, Inc. 234 Nippino Trail East, Unit 101, Nokomis, FL 34275 and marked Lemonde's bench, for a memorial bench to be placed on Dearborn Street in Danny's name.
