Ethel C. Drehouse, 85, of Fayetteville, GA, formerly of Venice, Florida, died on Dec. 1, 2012.
Long-time Venice resident Ethel Drehouse passed away in Fayetteville, GA, where she lived since 1998. She was 85.
Born in St. Louis, MO, she was a successful businesswoman and accomplished musician. As young women during World War II, she and her older sister, "Pat," toured with The Adam Leonard All American Girls Band, entertaining American troops at USO-sponsored performances across the nation.
Later, for many years, she was active in Venice with the Cecelian Music Society (now the Venice Musicale).
Pre-deceased by her third husband, Harry Drehouse, she is survived by her sister Virginia "Pat" Buerk of Sullivan, MO, children Beverly Young of Sarasota, Bill Carroll (Debbie) of Moberly, MO, Paul Walther (Jill) of Fayetteville, GA, stepchildren Gayle Warren (Chuck) of Venice and Dennis Drehouse (Phyllis) of Jefferson, Georgia. She also leaves 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
