Frances was formerly of Unionville, IN; Omaha, NE; Atlanta, GA and Greenville, SC.
Survived by her son, Matthew M. Woods of Sarasota, FL; son-in-Law Richard Campbell of Dallas, TX and grandchild, Scott Campbell of Dallas, TX.
Preceded in death by her loving husband George J. Woods on March 7, 2013; her parents Robert Franklin Little & Grace Cornwell Little; her daughter, Roberta W. Campbell of Liberty, MO and her son, Jonathan J. Woods of Atlanta, GA.
George & Frances Woods entered this life a mere two weeks apart and exited in the same way. George worked for Dun & Bradstreet Corporation as a credit analyst and moved throughout the southeastern U.S. eventually leading them here to Sarasota. George worked locally at Orange State Lumber Co., sold real estate, and worked for Toale Brothers Funeral home until he reached age 83. He was a Mason, and was active for a time in the Shrine Club of Sarasota. Frances worked as a secretary and an English teacher in the mid-west. After marrying George, she worked as a housewife and mother often moving the entire household at the whims of Dun & Bradstreet. Frances was a life-long member of the International P.E.O. sisterhood and was active at First Presbyterian Church in the women's circles, the Christian Builders Sunday School class, and the knitters group. They had three children, Roberta, Jonathan, & Matthew. They are survived by their son Matthew, and their grandson, Scott Campbell.
Both George and Frances shared a deep faith in Jesus Christ and an enduring love for each other and all people they came to encounter. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 11:00 am, at First Presbyterian Church, 2050 Oak Street in Sarasota. Memorial gifts may be made to Dial Hope Foundation, or Tidewell Hospice.
