George Edward Frost (95) passed away peacefully at his home in Sarasota, Florida on Sunday, June 2, 2013. A noted patent attorney, he practiced law in Chicago, Illinois, before serving as Director of the Patent Law Division of General Motors Corporation from 1966 to 1983. He taught law at the John Marshall and University of Chicago Law Schools and received numerous awards for his service to the legal profession.
George was the beloved husband of Elizabeth Barber Frost, who predeceased him in 2009 after nearly 66 years of marriage.
He is survived by his four daughters: Lillian F. Dean (Walter), Maygene F. Daniels (Stephen), Carol Ann Frost (Clarke Cogsdill) and Susan F. Davis (James), 6 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on Monday, July 1 at 2:30 p.m. at All Angels by the Sea Episcopal Church, Longboat Key, Florida.
