Gus, 89, years young, returned to our Lord on April 8, 2013. Gus is survived by his wife Mary, five children and spouses, Christina & Bob Landefeld, James & Karen Tsouvalos, Nicholas & Nancy Tsottles, Leni Tsottles, and Constance & Todd Michaels along with five grandchildren Adam, Daniel, Gregory, Marcus and Natalie, and one great grandchild Caroline Noel. He also leaves behind a brother, Michael Tsottles.
Gus served in WWII as a waist gunner on B24 bombers, later as an instructor and Staff Sergeant in the Army Air Corp, Eighth Air Force, Second Air Division, and 453rd Bomb Group. Gus was retired as a teacher, Realtor, and General Aviation Pilot. His greatest joy, other than his family, was flying his Cessna 172.
A visitation will be held on Thursday April 11, 2013 from 2:00-4:00 PM & 6:00-8:00 PM with a Trisagion Service at 7:00 PM at Farley Funeral Home, 265 Nokomis Avenue, Venice, FL. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations in Gus' honor to Saint Barbara G.O.C., 7671 N. Lockwood Ridge Road, Sarasota, Florida 34243. May his memory be eternal.
