Jacqueline Jean Abbott
(Scott), 87 of Venice, Florida, passed away at home Saturday, August 10, 2013. Jackie was the daughter of the late Irene and Kenneth Scott of Toledo, Ohio.
On August 4, 1944, she married Leonard Eugene Abbott in San Antonio, Texas, where he was in pilot training with the Army Air Corps. Together the celebrated 69 years of marriage.
Jackie was a ardent golfer, spending considerable time doing just that for many years in Birmingham, Michigan and winters in Ocala, Florida. She was also pleased to have had the opportunity to play golf while living in England.
She was a member of Venice Golf and Country Club and the American Legion Auxiliary, Lodge 159.
She retired in 1997, as President and Treasurer of J.J.Scott Inc., an Engineering Consulting firm to the Ford Motor Company.
She is survived by her husband Leonard, daughters Susan and Dale McCauley of Shoreview, Minnesota, Amy and Scott Packard of Des Moines, Iowa, Lorie and Donald Mc Mann of Redford, Michigan, and son James and
Kathleen Abbott of Troy, Michigan.
In addition, she has thirteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Jackie was preceded in death by her oldest child Cathy Zynda of Dallas, Texas, grandson Evan McCauley of Shoreview, Minnesota, sister Madelyn
Byrne of Albuquerque, New Mexico and parents Irene and Kenneth Scott of Toledo, Ohio.
Jackie will be greatly missed by all that loved her.
