Madelyn W. Wright, 88, of Bradenton, died on Apr. 5, 2013.
Born in Jamestown, New York, on January 12, 1925, and departed this life on April 5, 2013, in Bradenton, Florida. Until relocating to Bradenton thirty years ago, she resided in Toledo, Ohio. Madelyn loved to laugh and surrounded herself with dear friends and family. She was an artist, seamstress, model, golfer, and expert bridge player. She loved the beach and one of her favorite pursuits was traveling to the Florida Keys with her wonderful girlfriends. She was adored by her husband, Eugene Wright, who preceded her in death in 1999 after 55 years of marriage. She then survived her dear friend and companion, Ronald DiBartolomeo. She is survived by her children, Thomas Wright and his wife, Barbara of Marathon, Florida; and also by her daughter, Susan Bennett and her husband, Richard of Charlotte, North Carolina; as well as her grandchildren, David, Courtney, and Natalie Wright, and Amy Bennett. She is also survived by her companion, Samuel Buffone, who shared great joy and love with her in her last years. A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor at a later date.
