Marie Stoeber Harms of Sarasota , FL, formerly of Punta Gorda, FL died on Nov. 17, 2012 peacefully in the company of her loving family.
Born July 13th 1922 in ParkRidge, IL, although she lived a large part of her adult life in Peoria, IL.
Marie moved to Florida at the age of 4.
Marie later graduated from Sarasota High School and went on to marry her sweetheart and soulmate of more than 50 years, Harold Dietrich Harms (passed away January 3rd, 2001. )
Marie enjoyed playing bridge with her friends as well as weekly lunch outings and spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids. Marie was always thought of as invincible and strong woman, a real role model to her daughter and grandchildren. Marie was free of pain and ailments her entire life until a recent diagnosis of cancer took its toll. Marie was selfless and thoughtful , always placing her families' needs and concerns before hers. Marie often told wonderful stories of her love for Harold and the trips around the world that the two of them shared. Marie will be deeply missed by all that she has ever graced. May God bless her soul as Marie and Harold reunite in Heaven for eternity.
She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sarasota.
She is survived by her brother Bill Stoeber (Coleen), sister Dorothy "Dot" Smith and daughter Carol Cross (Robert), granddaughter Kelly Berisha (Mark), granddaughter Mollie Willhoite (Stephen) and great grandkids Logan and Lukas Willhoite and Kol Berisha,
along with many other special cousins, nieces and nephews, and dear friends.
She was an amazing woman that we were all so blessed to have in our lives!
A funeral service will take place at 12 Noon on Wednesday November 21st, 2012 at Toale Brothers Funeral Home - 40 N. Orange Ave, Sarasota, Fl 34234. Followed by a graveside service at Sarasota Memorial Park- 5833 South Tamiami Trail.
