Mayme Smith Clark Penick, 95, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away at Emeritus of River Oaks in Englewood.
She was born in China, Indiana and moved to Louisville, Kentucky around 1945, until being moved to Englewood, FL, July 11, 2012.
She worked for General Electric, Appliance Park in Louisville for 23 years, retiring after a heart attack. She loved to travel, read books and work word puzzles.
Mayme was preceded in death by her husband, Buford McCord Penick in 1982, and later her step-son, Buford M. Penick, Jr. She is survived by her three sons, William E. Clark, wife Shirley of Englewood, Florida, Jerald T. Clark, wife Sue of Bainbridge Island, Washington, Michael D. Clark, wife Daisy of Gentry, Arkansas. She has 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. Also surviving are two sisters, Rosetta Lutz (Rosie) of N. Vernon, Indiana and Viola (Vi) Ray of Beaufort, North Carolina.
Funeral services and burial will be in Louisville. No flowers by her request, but would appreciate donations to: Children's Hospital Foundation, For the Benefit of the Burn Unit, Kosair Children's Hospital, P. O. Box 37370, Louisville, Kentucky, 40233.
Lemon Bay Funeral Home, Englewood is in charge of local arrangements.
