Pamela Parent Koontz, 68, of Bradenton, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2013 with her husband and children by her side. Pam was born October 11, 1944 in Miami Beach, FL to Bill and Kay Parent of Key Largo, FL, who predeceased her. Pam was a long term resident of Bradenton, FL and is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Jerry; daughter, Kathe (Todd) of Raleigh, NC; son, Gerry (Gizelle) of Bradenton; grandsons, Matthew of Raleigh and Nicholas of Bradenton; brother, Bill of Key Largo and many loving family and friends. Having spent her entire life as the daughter and wife of Military Veterans, Pam was very active in Military Veteran organizations. She loved animals and was 'Mommie' to more than a dozen family dogs in her lifetime. She would go out of her way to pet dogs that passed anywhere nearby her when out in public. Pam is also survived by and had unconditional love for, Buster, Rocky and Franky the family pet Yorkies who she called 'the boys' and who loved her in return. Visitation 9:00-11:00 A.M. & Celebration of Life to follow at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel, 604 43rd Street West, Bradenton, FL 34209. Burial will be 2:30 P.M. Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Road 72 Sarasota, FL 34241.
