Robert P. James of Sarasota, Fla., formerly of Greensburg, Pa., died Monday, June 2, 2014 at his residence. Bob was born November 2, 1919 in Wheeling, W.Va., a son of the late Chester A and Margaret Ritz James. Prior to his retirement, he was the President of Fox & James, Inc. of Latrobe, PA, and was named Penna. Truck Dealer of the year in 1975. He was an active member of Covenant Presbyterian Church Sarasota Florida and a former member of Maplewood United Presbyterian Church in Greensburg, PA. Bob was also a member of the Wheeling Lodge #5, AF & AM, Sahib Temple, AAONMS (Shrine), and a WWII US Army Veteran. He was an avid golfer and fisherman. In recent years he enjoyed reminiscing about his years in business and his many devoted employees and customers. Bob was a kind generous man of faith known for his sense of humor and his loving devotion to his family. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife, of 63 years, Mary Elizabeth Stamm James; daughter, Sarah Elizabeth James; two sisters, Sara J. Lash and Nancy McCoy. He is survived by a son, Thomas S. James and his wife, Linda of Latrobe, Pa.; a daughter, Barbara J. Maston and her husband, Larry of Kingsport, Tenn.; five grand-children; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service celebrating Bob's life will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, June 13th, 2014 at Maplewood United Presbyterian Church, 108 Woodland Road, Greensburg, Pa., with the Rev. Steven LaSor officiating. The service will be followed by a luncheon in the church fellowship hall. A private internment will be held at Washington Cemetery, Washington, Pa.
