Terry D. Brenneman, 66, of Englewood, FL, formerly of Portage, MI, died on Sep. 15, 2013. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thurs., Sep. 19, 2013 at Englewood Community Funeral Home. Services will be held at 12:00 pm on Fri., at Englewood United Methodist Church. Funeral arrangements by: Englewood Community Funeral Home.
Terry passed away unexpectedly at home. He was born in Elkhart, IN to the late Theron and Mildren (Noffsinger) Brenneman. He was a Viet Nam era veteran who served in the U.S Army
. A resident of Englewood for eighteen years, coming from Portage, MI; Terry owned and operated several restaurants including McDonald's in Kalamazoo, MI and the Lickity Split Café in Englewood. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose
Lodge 3000 in Indiana and was a former member of the Lemon Bay Sunrise Rotary Club
He was predeceased by his sister, Vicki Spicer just three months ago.
Terry was an extraordinary man who loved his life and his family. His compassion, warm smile and sense of humor will be missed by his customers, the Lickity Team, his friends and family but most of all his wife and daughter.
Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of forty-seven years: Carol R. Brenneman of Englewood; FL; one daughter: Laura Lee Brenneman of Rotonda West, FL; two brothers: Theron (Barb) Brenneman of Elkhart, IN and Dennis (Bonnie) Brenneman of Lafayette, IN; many loved nieces and nephews, his lovable grand dogs and his dog, Gracie.
