Wimbish, William Louis

William L. Wimbish sweetly fell asleep in Jesus on January 18, 2013. Born in Ocala, Florida, he was resident of Venice Florida since 1945, was an Eagle Scout, graduated from Venice High School in 1957, joined the Army
with the 101st Airborne, received a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Florida State University and taught Biology at Venice High School for 30 years. A life-long hunter, his biggest hunting achievement was a 1995 record book Elk taken by bow in Wyoming. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Venice and was part of the Disaster Relief Team at the church. Bill also had a taxidermy business for 30 years; "Outdoor Creations Taxidermy".
He is survived by his second wife Connie Lewis Wimbish, twin sons Jon (Misty) and Barry (Kathy) and was affectionately known as "Grand-dad" to seven grandchildren, Ally, McKinley, Katie, Madison, Barry, Olivia and Will, a brother Jon (Pam) of Jackson, MS, brother-in-law Edward H.P. Lewis of Moorestown, NJ, step-daughter Lorie A. Lawton, of Nokomis. He is predeceased by step-son Larry R. Lawton.

A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 23rd from 1-3:30 PM with a Funeral beginning at 3:30 PM at Farley Funeral Home Venice Chapel. Interment will be private at Venice Memorial Gardens.
