John Burkhardt Obituary
Jan. 2, 1916 - June 4, 2011
John A. "Jack" Burkhardt, 95, of Sarasota, formerly of Richmond, Ind. died June 4, 2011.
Services will be private. National Cremation and Burial Society is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Barbara Jo; children, Anthony DeVito, Nicki See, both of Indiana and Gina Capps of Nevada; sister, Esther Cox of Liberty, Ind.; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his son, John Ronald.
Jack owned and operated Burkhardt Tax Service and Pronto Home Improvements Service in Richmond, Ind. He retired to Sarasota where he was proud to work 17 years with Publix, up until he was 94.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society in Jacks memory. guestbook; www.nationalcremation.com

Jo, I was so sorry to hear of your sad loss. I couldn’t believe you two were married for 33 years. That’s great!! Boy does time fly. Lesa and I are living in Indy now. I would love to hear from you. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Jo,
I was so sorry to see that Jack had died as I read the paper this morning. He sure was so lucky to have been able to be productive until last year.
I know we haven't been in touch for so long, but I do think of you and hope that you are doing well.
I'm so sorry that I haven't known how to contact you. I don't know if Sonny and Carol have kept up with the paper on line.....I'll let Jennifer know about Jack and she can pass it on, just in case.
Please know my thoughts are with you ...I hope you're still actively involved in doing your art work.
Jack was a good man, and I know you will miss him.
