Keith Edward Ritchie, 25, of Sarasota died June 4, 2011.
Visitation is noon to 1 p.m. Thursday at Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel. Burial will follow in Sarasota Memorial Park.
Survivors include his father and stepmother, Mike and Beth of Sarasota; mother Mary E. of Greenville, S.C.; step-sister, Caitlyn Taylor; paternal grandmother, Mary Rose; maternal grandfather, Ed Kuzma; and maternal grandmother, Evelyn Smith, all of Sarasota
A loving son will be deeply missed.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army, Viper Program in Sarasota, Fla.
To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

Kweefur you will be missed. I love you so much and hope you are rocking your guitar in the heavens. Make sure you play "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey. I love when you played that. You be in my heart and prayers for all eternity. Oh one more thing make sure you do the Aqua Dougie!!!

Mike,
You probably don't remember our talk when we first met on a service call at my home in the River Club. It was after that, our company Chelsea K (sold in 2010), began using your services. My husband Richard, and I lost our 24 year old son on 3/25/01 from GHB, and we know first hand the devastating effect it has on your whole world. We take comfort in knowing it is only his body that left us; his spirit and energy will never die and we continue to feel his presence even now. We are so truly sorry for the pain you and your family are suffering. Your lives are forever changed, but in time, you will learn to live with a new normal. Our prayers are with you.

Mary Rose, Mary and Mike
I first met Keith June 4, 1990 when I moved to fl. He was an adorable and gorgeous little boy - unfortunately things happen and I did not get the opportunity to know him as an adult but I am confident the same wonderful and loving traits were still there.
There are no words or actions that can dull or rid you of the pain. Since I never had children I cannot imagine the grief of losing a child/grandchild; however, I have lost people -- so just know that my heart aches, breaks and bleeds for you.
May you find some small comfort in the fact that he is with Paps again.

Oh Mike and Mary, We just heard. WE are soooo very sorry. We know nothing helps with the pain. Dan will be there thursday. If you need anything or if there is anything we can do - even if you just need to get away for a bit once this part of this ordeal is over. You are always welcome here.
