To dear Carolyn's family - Having recently returned from travel abroad, I am deeply saddened to learn of Carolyn's passing. We were friends from art school and beyond, and spent time together in talking of our families, our grandchildren and their lives. The world is depleted now that she is gone .

I met Carolyn about 3 years ago and we became good friends, sharing our love of tennis together. I was also impressed with her creativity. She will be missed greatly by me.

I too played scrabble online with Carolyn. She was a lovely lady, so courageous in her battle with cancer. It was an honour to be just a small part of her life and I will remember her fondly. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time.

I also played scrabble on the same site as Carolyn and although I only played against her in the tourneys I know she loved the game.
When I was down with a hip replacement I received a card from another player that was one of her artistic cards.
May you, Liz, honor her full life for the rest of your days and feel her presence guiding you from afar.

Carolyn, aka Cardart, has been a wonderful, caring scrabble partner. We were hoping to meet in person but as her disease progressed, both began to realize it was unlikely. A lovely, beautiful lady, truly a class act. She will be missed by many.

To Liz--Carolyn and I have been friends going back many years in N.J. and then again in Florida. I always enjoyed the times we shared in the winters in Florida. She was an incredible woman. Her independence , creativity and indomitable spirit will always be awe-inspiring to me! Her absence on this earth will create a discernible void! My deepest sympathy to you and the family, Dorothy Goldberg

I am going to miss this feisty lady who inspired the artist in me, who showed me how to live with grace in the face of adversity and who refused to give up even when the odds were against her. To Liz and the family, my sincere condolences. I was privileged to know your mother.

To Liz - I got to know your mother during aerobics at the Y - she was always so upbeat and attractive and fun to be with, & one would never know she was in her 70's! We all will miss her presence there. I didn't realize how creative she was till I visited her at home recently - she really was remarkable. She was so proud of you and her grandchildren - my deepest condolences to you all.
