Ruby and I shared an office and worked closely together in the Oak Hills Local School District , Cincinnati, Ohio, area for 18 years. I was shocked and saddened to hear of her death. She was highly respected as an educator.. Jane Pittman, Cincinnati

Ruby has blessed my life in many ways. We shared our life story as we traveled to, and back from a the 2010 P.E.O. Florida State Convention. What a wonderful woman she was! She touched countless lives during her lifetime. We thank God for Ruby and all of her many talents and special gifts she shared with all. Dear Ruby, rest well. We will miss you.

Ruby has spent her lifetime helping others. Back to Basic Tutoring is one of her many legacies to the Sarasota community. She will be missed but remembered by all who knew her. For her family there will be an empty spot for a time but she can be seen in the smiling faces of children and adults alike who knew her. The wind rustling in the trees in the garden of the church is Ruby pasing through and watching over us.

What is it all, when all is told,
This constant striving for fame or gold.
The fleeting joys, the bitter tears,
We are only here a few short years.
Nothing our own but the silent past,
Loving or hating, nothing can last!
What is it all but a passing through,
A cross for me and a cross for you.
Ours seems heavy, while others seem light
But God in the end makes all things right.
He tempers the wind with such loving care,
He knows the burdens each can bear.
Then he changes life's gray into heavenly gold,
Ah! That is all when all is told!
The children have all been tutored and are alright and will be ready for the next school year. Ruby gets her much deserved rest and reward in Heaven with her Lord and Savior. She will be missed. The legacy she created will live on.
