Dear Jeff, Barb and John~
I will always remember Uncle Joe as the quiet, gentle man beside crazy, fun Aunt Maggie. What an incredible life they had. It is so hard to lose your parents; but I pray that the memories you have of your dad..and of your whole family together...overshadow your pain.
With Love to all~

Jeff,Barb and all of the Shivers family.
Your father was truly a Great Man! The mentioned contributions he made to the world I'm sure were just a few. He served all of humanity. Thank God he did not suffer before passing.
Grieving will not ever go away but always remember the good years you had with him. They were happy times.
Here for you 24/7 so call any time if I can help.

As Aunt Maggie used to call Uncle Joe, bear where are you bear? That is what I always think of when I think of them and it always brings a big smile to my face. Your dad was a gentle soul who was always thoughtful and kind, even as a kid. And as an adult I grew to appreciate the talent and intelligence of the man. I was lucky to have had him in my life. God bless Uncle Joe.

What an interesting, brilliant man, Jeffrey! I'm sorry that I never knew him. And what contributions to humanity he made! Spandex----wow--- that's huge!! If I ever knew he, also, had graduated from Duke I'd forgotten. You and Barb certainly have deep ties there. Clois is French, non? See, that explains your love of the language....or not. You and your family have my thoughts and condolences. It's difficult to lose a parent, always painful. Sincerely, Sherry
