William "Bill" C. Johnson, 92, of Venice died June 3, 2011.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Farley Funeral Home in Venice. Farley Funeral Home in Venice is handling arrangements.
William "Bill" Charles Johnson, retired U.S. Army captain, was born in Saginaw, Mich. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Johnson. William was the former owner of Phoenix Insurance Agency in Saginaw and account executive with Insurance Service of Sarasota in Osprey.
He was the beloved brother of Chauncey and Suzanne Johnson of East Tawas, Mich.; beloved father of Patrick Brian Johnson of Siesta Key, William "Jr." and Xenny Johnson of Freeland, Mich., Susan Benaway and Ken Lambert of Saginaw, Carol and Jerry Masone of Somers, N.Y., Mike and Mary Klein of Saginaw and Bruce and Margaret Cannon Klein of Siesta Key; and special friend of Lorraine Failing.
