Francis R. Neal, 83, of Port Charlotte, formerly of Bailey's Crossroads, Va. died May 17, 2011.
A Celebration of his Life will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, at Farley Funeral Home North Port Chapel. Inurnment will be at Restlawn Cemetery.
Francis was an auto mechanic in Virginia and at Glauser Mercedes in Sarasota. He was a volunteer fire chief in Bailey's Crossroads, VA and a free lance photographer for the Washington Post.
Survivors include his daughter, Denise (Ron) Klingsten of Punta Gorda, Fla.; son, Edward (Linda) Neal of Arlington, Va.; son, Joseph Neal of Port Charlotte, Fla.; daughter, Barbara Neal of Orlando, Fla.; son, David (Mary) Neal of North Port, Fla.; a sister, Marion Little of Longview, Wash.; six grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to TideWell Hospice, Inc., 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238.
