July 4, 1934 - May 17, 2011

Charles Walter Grass, 76, Venice, formerly of Louisville, KY died May 17, 2011.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 23 at Venice United Church of Christ, 620 Shamrock Boulevard, Venice.
Joe LaDu, retired pastor of his church will officiate.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 23 years, Paula (Rixman) Grass; three sons: Charles, Jr., Mike and Mark; two daughters, Christi and Lori; step-son, Daryl Rixman; and eight grandchildren.
He was a Venice resident since 1999. Charlie was born July 4, 1934 in Louisville, Ky. to Susan (Walter) and Charles Grass. He worked for Naval Ordinance Station Louisville as a civilian for the Navy for 43 years and retired in 1994. Charlie was an avid golfer and fisherman. His memberships included the Venice Nokomis Elks, Venice American Legion, Moose Lodge and Englewood Eagles.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to the Memorial Fund c/o of Venice United Church of Christ or Trinity Presbyterian Church of Venice (food pantry).
