Dillard W. Kulhman was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on June 8, 1916. He was a graduate of Ohio State University where he lived in the Tower Club as a scholastic honor student and graduated with a degree in chemical engineering. He was called to serve in World War II and entered in the Army, Chemical Warfare Division. He met his wife Dorothy while stationed at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal in Denver, Colorado. He was honorably discharged from the Army as a Major. Dillard and Dorothy returned to Louisville, Kentucky, where he worked for American Creosoting Corporation for 25 years. After retiring, he built his plant, Treated Wood Products Company, where he served as President for eight years. Upon his retirement, they moved to Nokomis, Florida where they joined Mission Valley Country Club. Dillard is survived by his wife of 67 years, Dorothy Long Kuhlman; his daughter, Cynthia Kuhlman and son-in-law, Kip Sengstock. Services will be private.
