Eleanore Dye Obituary
Nov. 27, 1926 - July 30, 2010
Eleanore Dorothy Dye, 83, of Sarasota, formerly of Lakeview, N.Y., died July 30, 2010.
Services are private for the family. Arrangements are by Toale Brothers Funeral Homes.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Harvey W. Dye Sr., and her stepdaughter Marjorie L. Sullivan.
Eleanore is survived by her sister Miriam Smith (John) of LaJolla, Calif.; two daughters, Kathy J. Klinger (James) of Clay, N.Y., and Shelley J. Stone (Gerry) of Sarasota; sons, Gary L. Dye, Craig W. Dye (Alexandra Zapruder) of Washington, DC, and Harvey W. Dye Jr. (Cyndi) of Tallulah, La.; a stepdaughter, Caroline Wolowicz (Richard) of Jacksonville, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Eleanore taught physical education at Pinehurst Elementary School for many years. She was a long-time member of East Aurora Country club (N.Y.) where she served on the Women's Board of Directors. In Sarasota, she volunteered at the American Cancer Society.
In Lieu of flowers, please make donations to Tidewell Hospice House; 5955 Rand Blvd, Sarasota, FL 34238 or the American Cancer Society.

I'm heartbroken for you. Your mom was such a lovely and awesome lady. She will be as much missed as she was loved.

Mrs. Dye was my PE Teacher at Pinehurst Elementary School from Kindergarten thru 6th Grade. What a great lady and a wonderfully nice teacher she was. I wish I had known she was living in Sarasota in the same town where I have lived for many years, I would have loved to have seen her while she was living in Sarasota. I will always remember her and memories of her will always be in my thoughts. My sincere condolences to her family and friends.

Mrs. Dye was my Pinehurst Elementary School PE Teacher from Kindergarten thru 6th Grade. What a great lady and a wonderfully nice teacher she was. I sure wish I had known she moved from Lakeview to Sarasota years ago, I sure would have loved to have seen her while she was living in Sarasota where I have lived for many years. I am very sad to hear she has passed on but she sure was a great lady, she will forever be in my memories and my thoughts. My sincere condolences to her family and friends.
