Colgan, Francis Edward

Francis Edward Colgan, 90, of Venice died June 16, 2011.
There will be no local services. Arrangements by Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home and Cremation Services Venice Chapel.
Mr. Colgan is survived by his daughter, Carolyn Pandorf of Venice, Fla.; his sister, Caroline Stippel of Katy, Texas.
Mr. Colgan was born Sept. 12, 1920 and grew up in Queens, N.Y. He attended Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. He was elected president of the Pratt Branch of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers in 1941.
He was a test development engineer and served in the United State Army Air Force in World War II.
In 1972 he was appointed vice president of Bijur Lubricating Corporation in Rochelle Park, N.J.
