Gary and his brother Doug were the reason that I just had to change schools from McIntosh to Brookside Jr. in 7th grade. My girlfriend Diane and I met them on the beach the summer before. We were so taken with them, especially since they were surfers. Brings back memories of big, big, big boards! I have had the privledge of seeing Gary a few times over the past several years, thanks to Kittie's efforts to keep us all connected. I am sorry to say that I have been away from Sarasota and just returned. Thankfully my mother, who remembers the guys we girls were all so CRAZY about, and kept the obituary for me. Very sad news to come home to and I offer my condolences at this time to Gary's family through the lighting of this candle.

Gary was such a nice person. We had the best times riding his motorcycle all over Siesta Key. Brookside Jr. High friends Mike B.,DeDe,Kittie,PD,Mike P. what fun we had hanging around the beach. I'm so glad I got to see him not long ago. Gary called me when my Mom died and was such a comfort. Oh his Mom Emily made the best milkshakes! We'll miss you Gary. Kris Mead

Gary was my beloved friend for 45 years. We were closest at Brookside Jr. High School and later in 2002 when I returned to Sarasota. Although he lived on the other coast, he came to Sarasota often. I was fortunate to be able to spend a day with Gary last April when he was here visiting his father. We shared an idyllic childhood in Sarasota and later as adults we reflected upon our imperfect world we now live in.
He loved the calm of the Gulf of Mexico and the freedom of spirit while riding his motorcycle. He was observant, knowledgeable and conversant about most everything and would do anything for a friend. Gary made my world a better place and I will miss him forever.

I knew Gary and Doug since the third grade at Phillipi Shores Elementary School. We all grew up on Siesta Key having great times on our motorbikes and at the beach. We continued our friendship over the years, especially recently since Gary and Cindy lived so close by Orlando. I feel fortunate to have attended his 59th Birthday celebration and have him as a life long friend. He and his Family will always remain as a joyful part of my life. My deepest condolences to Cindy and all that loved him. He is missed by all that he touched.

While it's been a very long time since I was with Gary or his twin I carry their memories with me vividly. I am sorry to learn of the death of this childhood friend.

I knew Gary and Doug in jr. high at Brookside. They were so much fun to be around. We all lived on Siesta and it was a very carefree way to grow up. Thier Mom Emily was very sweet to thier friends that would come over to thier home, even making sandwiches one day. Gary spent alot of time with my brother Mark(Feingold) and I. Looking at his picture I can see the Gary of his young days. We moved away just as we were all about to go to Riverview. I thought that was the worst day of my life, having to leave Sarasota.
Everyone thought so highly of Gary and his brother Doug, they were just really great kids. I am sorry I never saw him again after jr high. But, I can see he has been a wonderful father and husband.

Gary was an amazing man. Bright , courteous, funny, and one of the dearest friends I've ever had. He was always thoughtful with others and in life. He left this world to soon .
My deepest condolences to his family and loved ones and I have no doubt that Gary will be watching over you all.
