Helen R. Barry, 85, passed away May 25, 2011 in Jacksonville, Fla. She was born in Boston and raised her family in Lenox, Mass. She later retired and moved to Palmetto, Fla. and was a resident of Jacksonville for the past 11 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward L. Barry, and her daughter, Sandra Barry.
Survivors include her children, Judy Barry, Thomas Barry, Kathleen Barry, Barbara Dickson (William), Linda Rooney (Chris), Dave Barry (Carolyn), and Robert Barry; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, May 28, 2011, at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 1701 Beach Blvd., in Jacksonville Beach, Fla.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at Mansion Funeral Home,1400 36th Ave. N., in Ellenton, Fla. Burial will follow in Mansion Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer.
