Bruce and Family:
I was so sorry hearing about your dad's
passing. You have my sympathes and condolences. I'll always remember him walking down the halls as if he had the
world by the tail. Happy as he could be and I assumed it was because he was doing something he loved. Every days a holiday he would say as we passed.
He was a great teacher and a wonderful person. I hope it gives you comfort to know he is at peace and at home with his Lord.

Bruce: I remember your father walking past us kids walking to Brookside and your father was always whistling and he would always say good morning to us. Then I was very fortunate to have had you for my algebra teacher back in "75 and you were one of my favorite teachers. I will always have fond memories of your father as he was such a nice and gentle man. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family.

Dear Bauman family:
I was a Spanish student of Joe's at Riverview High School between 1968-1971. I took every course he offered, and count him among the finest teachers I have ever had! I went on to major in Spanish in college, and still have the books he recommended I purchase. Even though I have never met you, I thank you for sharing Joe with me and the many other students who were blessed by his knowledge and gift for teaching.

Bruce. I'm so sorry for your loss. Please give my condolences to your mother and sister. I remember your dad fondly when I think of the many years that I taught with him at Riverview High School. His favorite expression " Every day's a holiday" still rings out in my mind. He will surely be missed by those who loved him.
