John Videyko passed way December 8, 2017. Born in Newark, New Jersey, John attended public schools and immediately following his high school graduation enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and proudly served his country in the Pacific during World War II. When returning from military service John married his high school sweetheart and wife of 65 years Anna Czapla, they had two sons, Thomas and Robert.
John worked for ITT in Nutley, New Jersey for 30 years and upon retirement he and Anna fulfilled there long time dream of moving to Sarasota, Florida and traveling the world. John was an avid photographer and documented the 37 countries they experienced over the next twenty five years.
John was predeceased by his wife Anna. John is survived by his son Thomas and wife Caroline Kemezys and son Robert and partner Linda Collins, grandchildren, Ian, Peter, Randy, Anthony and Siobhan and great-grandchildren Gabriel, Kaia, Kayla and Weston.
John was a 30 year communicant of St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church where a mass celebrating his life will be held on January 23, 2018 at 9:30 am, followed by a luncheon held at Overture Grand Oaks, (corner of Beneva Rd. and Fruitville Rd.) community building, 4 Maggie Lane, Sarasota, Florida at 12:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to the in John's name at 2970 # 104 University Parkway, Sarasota, Florida 34243
