Leo was born in Rumford, Maine he had 12 brothers and 1 sister.
He served in the US Army in Europe during the WW II. He relocated in 1951 from South Hadley Falls, Mass. with his family to Sarasota. Both Leo and Lucille were in the restaurant business. Over the years Leo was the executive Chef at Zinn's Restaurant, Field Club, Sarasota Yacht Club and retired from the Bird Key Yacht Club in the late 1970's.
After retirement Leo and Lucille would work for the Boys and Girls Club summer camps in Maine, they loved it.
Rumor has it the kids ate very well. They both became avid golfers and were members of Bobby Jones Golf Club where Leo was able to play to the age of 96. Leo and Lucille were happily married for 73 years and had 4 children. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia Yarbrough in 1985 and his beloved wife Lucille in 2011. He leaves behind his daughter Barbra Ward, of Sarasota and two sons Richard Arsenault and wife Nancy Hall of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and David Arsenault and wife Lauren of Sarasota. He also had 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren. He was a big presence in our lives and will be greatly missed. A Memorial Mass to celebrate his life will be held at St. Martha's Catholic Church on December 7, at 2:00 pm. with a gathering afterwards.
