Margaret Anne Wierts-Parrinello, 91, of Longboat Key, Sarasota, FL, died on Mar. 25, 2013. Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Fri., at Toale Brothers Chapel in 40 N. Orange Avenue, Sarasota, FL, 34236. Burial to follow at Sarasota Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements by: Toale Brothers Funeral Home.
Margaret was very devoted and proud of her military service. She was a WWII WAC Veteran Sergeant stationed in the South Pacific and worked under General MacArthur. She was also President of the S.E. Florida Chapter of Women's Veterans Association.
Margaret was the very first employee at the Plymouth Harbor Retirement Community in 1966. She worked there as an executive secretary for over 21 years. She was very active in the First Congregational Church in Sarasota where she was an organist for many years.
Margaret was very devoted to her family. Survived by her daughter, Hazel Wierts Wyatt; son, Paul Hamilton Wierts; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Tacy Bott; husbands, C. William Wierts and James Parrinello; her daughter, Deborah Louise Wierts; her son, William Lee Wierts and brothers, Raymond Bott, Ralph Bott, Tom Bott and Robert Bott.
