Dr. Michael Allan Sloan, 57, Tampa, Fla., formerly of Detroit, Mich. died Sept. 9, 2011. He is survived by his loving wife Cheryl, devoted mother Jody Sloan, daughters Jessica and Brittany. Brothers David and Daniel and sister-in-law Millie, niece Marissa and nephew Adam. He was pre-deceased by his father Eugene Sloan. He was a graduate of University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He completed medical school at Wayne State University, Detroit. At the time of his death, he was a Vascular Neurology Professor and was Director of the Comprehensive Stroke Center at Tampa General Hospital. Services are Wednesday, Sept. 14 at 10 a.m. at Toale Brothers Colonial Chapel, 40 North Orange Ave. Sarasota with burial following at Beth Shalom Cemetery.
