Paul Fetherlin Obituary

Fetherlin, Paul
Feb. 15, 2011

Paul F. Fetherlin, 78, loving husband of Dorothy Fetherlin, passed away peacefully at home Feb. 15, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Washington, Pa., he spent 30 years in the telecommunications industry before retiring to Bradenton, Fla. Sgt. Fetherlin served his country during the Korean War in the United States Army. He served as President and Lt. Governor of Washington Kiwanis Club. He also was an active member of the Elks. His love of children, sports and being an outstanding high school athlete, led to his involvement as co-chairman of the Pony League World Series in Washington, Pa. Paul's passions in life included his precious wife "Dotsi," his love for the game of golf and his devotion to the Pittsburg Steelers (not necessarily in that order).
Survivors include his beloved wife of 48 years, his two brothers, Charles R. Fetherlin of Plano, Texas, and Herbert M. Fetherlin of Greenville, S.C., several nieces and nephews and an extended loving family and close friends. Paul was predeceased by his father, Herbert H., his mother Daisy Dunning Fetherlin, and sister Vivian L. Yost.
Paul, along with his great sense of humor, will always be loved and missed by those who knew him, especially by his friends at Rosedale Golf & Country Club, where he was a member for the past 15 years. A memorial service and celebration of life will be held at Rosedale Golf & Country Club on Feb. 28, 2011 at 10:30 a.m.
