Rita V. (Bderube) Lambert, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2012 surrounded by her loving family and her loving extended "family" at Northport Pines. She was the beloved wife of Joseph J. Lambert who died June 28, 1991. She was born in Andover, MA, the daughter of the late Michael Alfred Berube and Marie desNeiges Hermosa Cote she attended Andover Schools. Rita married her husband Joseph in 1947, they lived in Lawrence, MA and Methuen, Ma. Rita worked at Western Electric in North Andover, MA for 30 years, retired and moved to North Port, FL. Rita was an avid golfer and bowler while in Florida, she also volunteered at the Meals on Wheels program in North Port, she was member of San Pedro Catholic Church. Rita was a loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, she was such a giving person, she got so much joy out of giving to others, her home was always the focal point for family gatherings, holidays, cookouts and wonderful parties. Rita was also a wonderful cook and the entire family enjoyed her cooking through the years. Rita is survived by her sister Claire Fitzgerald and her husband Robert of North Port, FL; brother, Richard and his wife Carol of Palm Harbor, FL; sister-in-law Carolyn Berube wife of Raymond of Venice, FL and sister-in-law Joan Berube wife of George of North Port, FL; Rita was predeceased by her brothers, Raymond, George, and Maurice; Rita is survived by many nieces and nephews as well as great and great-great-nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Tidwell Hospice, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238 or Northport Pines, 4950 Pocatella Ave., North Port, FL 34287. Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, May 14, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home, 9400 Indian Springs Road, Punta Gorda, Family will receive friends from the hours of 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Her final rest is to be placed with Joseph at Charlotte Memorial Gardens.
